Assistance with Daily Life

at 5M Community Services

If your NDIS plan includes funding for assistance with daily life, we are here to help. Assistance with daily life provides the essential supports you need to maintain your independence and complete daily activities. This service covers support with everyday personal activities, helping you live as independently as possible both at home and in the community. Whether you live in your own home, on your own, or in a shared living arrangement such as Supported Independent Living (SIL), we are dedicated to assisting you. Our support will help you achieve your goals of remaining independent and ensure you live safely.

5M Community Services can assist with daily personal activities in several ways, including:

  • Personal Hygiene: Support with showering, bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
  • Toileting: Assistance with bladder and bowel management, including menstrual care.
  • Eating and Drinking: Help with meals and medication assistance if needed.
  • Attending Appointments: Support in attending various appointments.

Eligibility for daily personal activities assistance through 5M Community Services is generally tied to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). They provide support services for both adults and children, ranging from ages 7 – 65 years old, who require support for any kinds of developmental delay or disability.

Assistance with daily personal activities is usually limited to 6 hours per day, covering tasks like bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, eating, and mobility.
