The Development-Life Skills program encourages participants to gain independence, knowledge, and confidence, offering training in various life skills and community participation.

5M Community Services assists with Development-Life Skills by:

  • Encouraging participants to develop individual life skills to gain independence, knowledge, and confidence.
  • Offering programs that include special personality development life skills and behavioural life skills development.
  • Providing daily living support services and more.

This service is designed to help individuals develop the necessary skills to live as autonomously as possible and includes a focus on both temporary and ongoing support in a shared living environment

You are eligible for Development-Life Skills services under the NDIS if:

  • Your disability impacts your daily functioning.
  • You undergo an assessment process to identify the supports you require.
  • You work with an NDIS planner to develop a personalised plan that addresses your unique needs.

Additionally, you must meet the general NDIS eligibility criteria, which include being an Australian citizen or holding a permanent visa or special category visa, and being under 65 years of age at the time of application.
